It all started when…

WillyNoir (Ylian Wiegers) (NL, Amsterdam) has been a professional Afro Artist, Dancer, Teacher, and DJ since 2013 and has traveled around the world to share his experiences.

With his Brazilian mother being a dancer and his father being a musician, WillyNoir has loved music and dance since he was a baby. He has been a big fan of Michael Jackson since his childhood, and grew up with the rhythms of Hiphop, R&B, Soul and House. Besides Michael Jackson, Ylian also has a great love for his own culture and grew up with the drums of the Afro Brazilian scene.

With time, WillyNoir has gone into the AfroHouse Scene and learned from different AfroHouse pioneers around the world from the African Diaspora. AfroHouse is a music and dance genre that is mostly practiced in Angola and South Africa. The music emerged first in South Africa in the early 90's thanks to “house music”. However, South Africans had not yet associated AfroHouse music with special dancing steps as Angolans did. The AfroHouse culture is a big movement enjoyed around the world in clubs and at festivals, where everyone dances and vibes along to it. WillyNoir is currently active as an AfroHouse Artist, Dancer, Teacher, and DJ. He has released numerous AfroHouse Dance hits throughout the years and performed on many stages throughout the world.

Willynoir has taught workshops in: The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Slovakia, Luxemburg, Russia, Finland, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Greece, Hungary, Turkey, Tunisia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, United States, Mexico, Canada, Colombia and Brazil.

WillyNoir is the main organizer of the yearly Afro Drip Dance Camp in Amsterdam and is planning to do more events and classes with this brand worldwide. His AfroHouse classes are all about sharing and enjoying with others, for beginners and advanced dancers. Come and join one of his classes to learn the basics, roots and essentials of AfroHouse. It’s all about the vibes, foundation, expression and connection!
